Bill Frederick was first introduced to volleyball at the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School. Although it didn't immediately show rise to the top, his determination and love for the sport were undeniably.
He represented the school at various secondary school competitions, finishing in 2nd place at the 2022 competition which also happened to be his last year of high school.
He then moved on to the Dominica State College to pursue an associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology while still pursuing his volleyball dreams. Around that time, he also started representing the Club One Volleyball Club in the National Volleyball League, being part of back-to-back league winning squads.
His hard work and love for volleyball caught the eye of the National team coaches, leading to his selection to represent Dominica in both beach and indoor volleyball. Bill, and his partner Mervin Mingo were permanent fixtures on the podium at the ECVA Junior beach tournaments, finishing 3rd in 2023 and 1st in 2024 and 2025. He has also participated in the ECVA senior beach championships and the NORCECA continental tour.
Bill has also seen success in indoor volleyball, placing 3rd in the 2023 ECVA U23 indoor tournament and 2nd in the 2024 senior champions.
A new chapter in his life has opened as he earned a scholarship to play NAIA volleyball for the Culver-Stockton College in the United States, while pursuing a degree in Radiology.
His dreams go way further as he strives towards becoming a professional volleyball player.
