Antigua overcomes spirited Anguilla with 3-0 win

ST JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda, October 18, 2024:  Antigua and Barbuda recorded a workmanlike 3-0 (25-8, 28-26, 25-18) to get the home crowd going, in match two of the 2024 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Senior Women’s Tournament, here at the YMCA Sports Complex.

After winning the first set with some ease, Antigua and Barbuda met a road block in the second set, as the Anguillans displayed character and intent.

However, the Antiguans recalibrated in the third set to hold on to win and set themselves in good stead for the remainder of the tournament.

Buoyed by the win, it was a happy Head Coach of Antigua and Barbuda- Olsen Joseph.

“It was a nice little experience for the first game, we have some little things that we have to work out but all in all it was okay”, Joseph stated.

Joseph however disclosed that issue of communication on the court among players will be addressed, as according to him, “We need to be more focused on what we are doing”.
