The Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the outstanding success of 2026 ECVA Men and Women Volleyball Championship held in Tortola, BVI from August 12-16, 2026.
ECVA first thanks the VIVA President and the entire VIVA Executive Team, whose tireless, round-the-clock work behind the scenes proved that the British Virgin Islands is fully capable of hosting dual-gender tournaments of international standards. ECVA's own executive board and the local organizing committee are equally commended for their dedication throughout the preparation and execution of these games.
Appreciation is also extended to ECVA's global governing bodies, FIVB and NORCECA, for their structural guidance and steadfast support of the ECVA region, and to equipment partners Mikasa and Mizuno, who continue to supply tournament balls ensuring top-tier quality across every match.
ECVA offers its thanks to the Government of the host island for opening its shores and hearts to the region's volleyball community. Special thanks go to the Premier, Dr. The Honourable Natalio Wheatley, for his distinguished leadership, presence and profound support of sporting events in the Territory and to Minister Sharie de Castro of the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports and her team, for their deep investment in the development of volleyball from grassroots to senior programs and events and for officially declaring the games open.
ECVA also thanks the BVI Olympic Committee for its unwavering support and its confidence in the Territory's ability to develop elite athletes.
Among corporate sponsors and community champions, ECVA recognizes Caribbean Cellars for its generous financial and in-kind support; Nanny Cay Hotel for providing exceptional hospitality and a home-away-from-home for visiting delegations; Liberty Caribbean for the critical technical and connectivity support that broadcast the tournament to the world; Romasco Group for transportation ensuring delegates' timely arrival and Prime for meal services throughout the five-day event, with thanks also to Elaine Francis for her assistance in nourishing the teams; and DA Outlet, The Pub, Onemart, Amara Spa and Smith Ferry Services for their generous raffle donations.
ECVA extends heartfelt thanks to all volunteers and their teams for their tremendous contribution to the tournament's success, as well as to the fans who electrified the stands, the referees who officiated with absolute integrity and the extraordinary athletes who poured their souls onto the court — the true heartbeat of Caribbean volleyball.
This tournament has shown how sports can bridge islands, unite nations and inspire generations. As the region looks to the future, ECVA looks forward to carrying the momentum, friendships and unity built to even greater heights — keeping the ball flying.
