
Cul-de-Sac, Saint Lucia, May 2, 2026 – Teams from Saint Lucia, Dominica and Grenada have
secured their places in the women’s semifinals of the ECVA Beach Volleyball Championship
currently being staged in Saint Lucia.
The Saint Lucian pairs of Clio Phillip/Tenayestigni Joseph and Denila Prospere/Amalia Louis
advanced in dominant fashion. Phillip and Joseph swept Nikita Campbell and Nayelli Fergus
(VIN) 2–0 (21–6, 21–9), while Prospere and Louis defeated Antigua and Barbuda’s Dana Regis
and Josanne Lewis 2–0 (21–17, 21–7). The two Saint Lucian teams will face each other in a
much anticipated all home semifinal on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Dominica’s duo of Joyan Pascal and Adicia Burton overpowered Antigua and
Barbuda’s Nyota Peters and Rosemarie Simon 2–0 (27–25, 21–14). They will meet Grenada’s
Thornia Mitchell and Renisha Stafford in the other semifinal. The Grenadian pair booked their
spot with a convincing 2–0 (21–15, 21–16) victory over Saint Kitts and Nevis’ Shajunee Gumbs
and Jontelle Hensley Philip.
