The Volleyball Information System (VIS) team for the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) is responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing real-time data and statistics during volleyball competitions. This team, often under the Technical and Statistics Commission, ensures that the ECVA complies with NORCECA and FIVB standards by providing accurate performance data on players and teams.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐂𝐕𝐀 𝐕𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:
-𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 & 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔: VIS team records detailed statistics, including player performance in attack, block, and serve. This data is instrumental in analyzing athlete performance and developing national teams.
- 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: team provides the official data required for the Control Committee to select the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and other individual player awards, such as Best Setter, Best Libero, Best Digger, and Best Receiver.
-𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚:The team manages the digital VIS system, which streamlines operations during tournaments and enhances decision-making within National Federations. The VIS EcoSystem comprises VolleyStation Pro, VolleyStation Score, and VolleyStation Referee. VolleyStation Pro evaluates player and team performance, while VolleyStation Score officially records scores. VolleyStation Referee allows referees and other officials to manage the match flow, and coaches can digitally manage time-outs and substitutions.
- 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: events, the team offers hands-on training to local personnel to equip them with VIS-competence. Additionally, they provide remote support to national federations during their local events and preparations for regional and international events. This comprehensive approach ensures the standardization and enhancement of the statistical structure in the region.
- 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: part of the Control Committee, the VIS team, including VIS Supervisors, ensures the timely and accurate reporting of match results. They also provide technical support to referees and other officials.

This innovative investment leverages the Twitch platform to bring fans from all over the ECVA and beyond closer to the sport. By showcasing their talent live, athletes can effectively demonstrate their skills and increase their chances of securing scholarships and professional playing opportunities.
