REFEREE SPOTLIGHT: Rawle Lee - International Indoor Volleyball Referee | Antigua and Barbuda

Mr. Rawle Lee is a respected International Indoor Volleyball Referee from Antigua and Barbuda, with a career spanning over a decade. Beginning his officiating journey in 2010, Mr. Lee has demonstrated unwavering commitment and excellence in the field of volleyball officiating.

In 2017, he went on to complete the FIVB Continental Referee Course in Mexico where he was selected as an International Referee Candidate. This achievement earned him the distinction of becoming the first and currently only International Indoor Volleyball Referee from Antigua and Barbuda.

Mr. Lee has officiated extensively in ECVA competitions, gaining recognition as one of the most seasoned and respected referees within the region. A landmark moment in his career came in 2025, when he represented Antigua and Barbuda at the XVIII Men's Senior Pan American Cup, making history as the first Antiguan referee to officiate at this level.

Beyond his international accomplishments, Mr. Lee is deeply dedicated to the growth and development of volleyball in Antigua and Barbuda. As the Local Referee Coordinator for the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA), he has led referee development programs and in 2025, successfully onboarded eight new referees into the system. He also spearheads the ABAVA Business League, creating new opportunities for competitive play and community engagement.

Mr. Lee’s leadership, passion for the sport, and dedication to excellence continue to inspire the next generation of referees and contribute significantly to the development of volleyball both locally and regionally.
