CUL- DE- SAC, May 3, 2025: St Lucia Team One faces St Kitts and Nevis; Dominica Team Two faces Bermuda in the semi-finals of the Men’s segment of the 2025 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Senior Beach Volleyball Championship here at the Cul- de- Sac Bay.
The four teams chasing the glory to the coveted title, advanced after quarter-final wins that highlighted Day Two.
Joseph Clercent/ Sheldon Descartes- LCA One defeated Ronaldo Franklyn/ Shadron Delpesche (VIN) 2-0(21-16, 21-18), while Bristol/Pencheon (SKN) beat Robinson/ Florent- DMA – One, 2-1(21-12, 20-22, 15-9).
Meanwhile, Mingo/ Frederick- DMA – Two saw off Grenada One’s Oxford/ Nelson, 2-0(21-16, 21-18)
And, Bermuda’s Benjamin Barnett/ Sean Tucker had a 2-0(21-10, 21-18) over Grenada Two’s Zerick Walcott/ Kibose Hamilton.
Heading into the semi-finals, all teams expressed confidence of advancing.
Clercent: “We are confident of getting past St Kitts. They are playing well, but we believe we can overcome them.”
Pencheon: “We are happy to reach this far; we have improved as the championship went on. In the semi-finals, we are going to give it our best shot.”
Frederick: “We have been improving game after game. We have been training hard for the past months for this, and it is now to show what we have.”
Barnett: “We put it together against Grenada and we are going to go into the semi-finals with the same intensity. We are very focused on playing our game, allowing us to dictate the match.”
